Gretchen has worked in esthetics for over 20 years, and is considered an expert in her field. This senior instructor has a background in education with a former career as a teacher and a degree from the University of Wisconsin in Eduction.
Gretchen is excellent in advising students on advanced topics such as acne and aging, and works with a variety of clientele in her continuing private practice. Gretchen is a leader in her philanthropic pursuits outside the school as a founding board member of the dental charity Great Shape! Inc. and the literacy project SuperKids, providing the children of Jamaica with much-needed dental care and educational opportunities.
Teresa is a graduate of OIA (now IIC) and has been teaching at the school since 2007. This vibrant instructor as worked in the medical field for over 30 years in patient care and administration, and has over 7 years experience in her own esthetics practice, TLC Professional Skin Care. Teresa says her passion in life is helping clients with their skincare needs and helping students to learn the hands-on aspects of becoming great estheticians. When not teaching or working in her private practice Teresa volunteers for Great Shape! Inc. She travels to Jamaica and manages the I-Care project, providing much needed eye care for the locals. She has been volunteering for the last 3 years with the eye-care and dental projects.
Debbie was born and raised in England, and moved to the United States in 1981. Loving being a mother to her 3 beautiful children led her to a 14-year career in Early Childhood Development. After raising her children she returned to school to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a cosmetologist. She has owned and operated her own salon for the past 10 years, mastering her skills in all fields of cosmetology. She enjoys sharing her business and technical expertise with her students.
